Not an excellent start
Spotted this at a Sekolah Kebangsaan in Bandar Utama. There are four, so everybody gets a 25% chance of getting it right the first time. Unlike the teacher or teachers who got it totally and awfully wrong with the grammar AND spelling. Apparently, more than a few concerned parents have pointed out the gaffe to the school principal. Evidently, it has all fallen upon deaf ears and blind eyes. I'm sure they have better things to attend to, like learning English properly! Poor kids.....

just as well they didn't change it. they would probably change "excellent" to "excellence"

i'm the dumb one here. now i get it; they meant to say, "excellence starts from discipline". no wonder it didn't make any sense. man, the students here will be so screwed.

You should send this to the Star's Thumbnails or Mind Your Language section, and mention the name of the school.
Then asses will really start hauling to rectify the error.

east43street..... I stand corrected, like the teachers in THAT school. There are only two Sekolah Kebangsaan there la, apart from two SRJK(C)'s. Maafkan kami, maafkan kami, maafkan kami, ma-af-kan ka-a-mi.
uba..... kesian no, and they do have spelling tests still. Just heard of a student who got 50% docked from her all-correct spelling test because she didn't start each word with a capital letter.....
